    History & CultureHistory & Culture

    Hollywood Walk of Fame

Sprawling along the Victoria Harbour and taking its cue from the Hollywood Walk of Fame is Hong Kong’s own dedication to the luminaries of its film industry. The names of over 100 actors, screenwriters, directors, and other celebrities are emblazoned along the promenade, some featuring handprints and signatures.

    Hong Kong Museum of Art

The city’s main art museum showcases paintings, calligraphy and sculpture from Hong Kong, China, and the rest of Asia, rotating its exhibitions frequently so that all of its shows are new and fresh. Given its location perched on the waterfront, its exterior view is almost as striking as what’s housed inside.

    Hong Kong Cultural Centre

A fixture on Kowloon’s waterfront, the cultural centre is both a striking architectural masterwork and the cultural hub of the city, putting on countless music and dance performances every year.

    Xiqu Centre

Newly opened at the West Kowloon Cultural District is the Xiqu Centre, a love letter to Chinese opera and other forms of Chinese traditional theatre. The venue, which comprises over a thousand seats, arranges plenty of performances and film screenings. Its undulating contemporary architecture also makes it more than worth a visit.

    Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower
